[00:00:00] Speaker A: I think it really helped shape me to get into mainstream adult film because I learned how to program my own site and create a tip menu and how to do sales and how to talk to people and how to game the room and get people to tip and all that. It's a lot of work. So anyone who says it's not work or hard work, fuck off. The adult industry, it only made me more confident and made me more of who I was meant to be. Just like this boss lady, you know what I mean? Like a boss ass bitch. I also will work with women who have no following whatsoever. But if I see potential, I'm gonna snatch you and you're gonna go work with me. This is like your body. Like, in this industry, it's so intimate, and it's your body and you're being intimate with other people. And so I have to be, of course, Like, I'm very selective. This is not a test, ladies. [00:01:01] Speaker B: I brought y' all here today so we can see who can twerk. [00:01:05] Speaker A: We're here, we're here, we're here. [00:01:07] Speaker B: Okay, sweet. So this is, as you see, this is a kiss and tell podcast. I'm Javi Mack. Nice to meet you. Alex Lay. [00:01:14] Speaker A: Nice to meet you. [00:01:15] Speaker B: Nice to meet you. I like that. So you're telling me that you've been in the industry for a while now? [00:01:19] Speaker A: It's been a minute, yeah. It's been a minute, yeah. [00:01:22] Speaker B: How long? [00:01:23] Speaker A: So I started off as a webcam. Webcam model. Cam girl. [00:01:27] Speaker B: Were you my free cams or. [00:01:28] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah, my free cams. Blonde keys, QT for you. I was 23. I want to say 22. Like, pretty fresh out of school. [00:01:38] Speaker B: What made you hop into it? [00:01:42] Speaker A: I got my college degree, got a bachelor's degree. I was getting my master's degree. Broadcast journalism. [00:01:47] Speaker B: Wow. [00:01:47] Speaker A: Yeah, I was gonna, like, initially, kind of. Yeah, yeah, it's like, kind of. And I learned how to edit videos, so it was cool. But, like, I just. I wanted to be a news lady initially, like, you know, and then I was like. Then I doesn't. The hours and the pay, and I was just like, I don't think this is for me. Once I learned, like, the reality of the work, and then I kind of just fell into, like, PR and marketing, really. So I had, like, startup jobs, like, right after college. And long story short, I ended up getting laid off. And I was devastated because I was like, my life is. Oh, you know, I was like, 22. I was like, my life is over. Like, what am I gonna do? And then I was at this party talking to just one of my guy friends and like, just. He was just telling me this, but he mentioned like, oh, I went on. I found this website, my free camps. These girls just get tipped like crazy and they just sit around their underwear and I'm like, pretty. I love people and I love meeting new people and vibing with people, but I am introverted as fuck. Can I swear on here? [00:02:45] Speaker B: Oh, you can swear. [00:02:46] Speaker A: I'm so fucking introverted. And I love to just be home. I'm just a home buddy. And I'm like, oh my God, this sounds like a perfect job for me. And so I was like, he didn't realize he was opening up the floodgates for me in that conversation. So a couple days later, I ended up applying for a cam. [00:03:07] Speaker B: Like, and how successful were you right out the gate? [00:03:11] Speaker A: Well, when you first get on the site, like, I think it's probably the same for any campsite. [00:03:15] Speaker B: They force everybody on your site. Yeah. [00:03:17] Speaker A: Because you're fresh meat or whatever. So it's like new models. So a lot of people come and then you get. And then from there they kind of drop off. But then you get the regulars and then there's always people that are new that are coming to the site too. [00:03:29] Speaker B: So. [00:03:29] Speaker A: So it really like ebbed and flowed. I like to compare it kind of like to an online strip club, really, because it's like you're there and some days are really, really good and some days are like shit. And it's a little bit of a mind fuck in that sense. But I think it really helped shape me to get into mainstream adult film because I learned how to program my own site and create a tip menu and how to do sales and how to talk to people and how to like game the room and get people to tip and all that. It's a lot. So, like, anyone who says it's not work or hard work, fuck off. Because it is so fucking hard. It's so fucking hard and not everyone can do it, you know. [00:04:11] Speaker B: So, so how, like, what was like the average, like, I guess, session a week and then what was like your highest you've ever made? [00:04:19] Speaker A: Oh, my God. I would say. Well, consider that this was about 12 years ago. I want to say like 12, 13 years ago. The math is not mathing. Let's say 12, 13 years ago. On average a day I'd be pulling like 5 to 700. But I was there for a handful of hours, whatever. And the best, probably two GS in a full day. And during that time. That's a lot of fucking money for an early 20 something year old with very minimal bills, you know what I mean? So I was like, holy shit. I felt like I had just uncovered a gold mine. And I felt also really sad. Cause I was like, I was sold this lie. I felt personally like this. I was like, I was told this lie to go to school and get a good job or whatever. I was like, I make more in a day here than I did in a fucking week at my last job. Why was I ever sitting at a desk? And it wasn't only that, it's just like for me, I'm very like free spirited. So I just felt like I found something that I really like to do, you know, and be on my own time. [00:05:21] Speaker B: You connected. You were on your own time. You never felt bad for being, you know, on, you know, my free cam's. [00:05:27] Speaker A: Nude or like abso fucking lutely not like, no, never. Like the only reason I, before I got on the side, I really had to like take time and sit with myself and be like, do I wanna do this? Because in my head I was like, if I post even one video, one live session and I'm nude and my face is on there, I'm gonna assume it'll be on the Internet forever and everyone I know will see it. Like, I assumed that. So I had to sit with myself and be like, am I cool with this? And then I was like, fuck off, everybody. Like, if anyone is mad that I'm naked, Internet can fuck off. Because who cares, right? Like, who cares? Like everyone. We're born naked. [00:06:04] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:06:04] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? Like, who cares? I don't get it. [00:06:08] Speaker B: Have you never had any social problems with like your family or friends or any family? [00:06:12] Speaker A: Yes. Not everybody, but there were some family members. Because, you know, from the outside looking in the adult industry seems like a very scary, dangerous. I mean, you've heard the narratives. I'm sure I've heard them. Like it's, you know, predatory, all this shit. And it's like for me, it's like what. It's what you make it to be, you know, that's how I feel. And I never, I mean, if anything, it only made me more confident and made me more of who I was meant to be. Just like this boss lady, you know what I mean? Like a boss ass bitch. [00:06:50] Speaker B: You're giving boss vibes. It unlocks especially this bun. [00:06:53] Speaker A: This is it. Just like I think it like unlock something in me, you know, and it's just like I don't say lightly to just anyone like to get into this industry. Cause I really think you have to have like a really wide, like a wide array of certain characteristics. Like you have to have a thick skin would be one. [00:07:13] Speaker B: Cause there's guys that just get in the chat and trolling. [00:07:16] Speaker A: Oh my God. Like people still to this day all the time. Like this guy on my fucking Facebook page. I checked it today, cause I run it myself and he, I did like a silly little reel with one of my girlfriends and he, his profile, he's like this 75 year old man with a fucking beard, like on a lake somewhere. Like his profile is like that. And then he's like desperate. I'm like okay. That does nothing for me though. I'm like, okay, block, move on. But you can't see something like that and be like, oh no, am I desperate? You can't have that. You know what I mean? You have to be really strong. [00:07:53] Speaker B: Right? That's great. So you've done like throughout your time in the industry, you've done, you know, camming. Let's run it to the next stage that you did like of. Okay, so when you went to of, what was that transition like? And how did. [00:08:08] Speaker A: I'm gonna tell you how the whole thing, it went from camming to porn and I did mainstream porn and Okida came out later. Yeah. And then like seven years later. No, not even I got into of in like 2017 when I first, first first came out. Yeah. Because every time there was a new platform, I would get on it and be like, you know, cause anywhere there's money to be made, like I'm fucking. [00:08:32] Speaker B: On it with that money. [00:08:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:08:33] Speaker B: If that money should be made, it should be a good pocket. [00:08:36] Speaker A: Listen, I'm a hustler. I'm gonna go get my bag, you know. So like I got on of and I had some friends that were on it and it was good. I was running, I was just doing everything, like just kinda like fully. How do I say this? It got me used to being the boss. Like I didn't rely on my agent to get me bookings for that, if that makes sense. Like I would go out and find my own collabs, you know what I mean? And it really like took my own, my business to the next level. And it made me even more confident to be like, wow, I can book my own shoots, I can do all this, I can sell my own scenes. You know what I mean? It just kind of like made something click in my head. [00:09:21] Speaker B: It was the next Stage. [00:09:23] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:09:24] Speaker B: So what. So going from, you know, all those three, like, with of, like, what's the average, like, month on of. Or what's the craziest? [00:09:33] Speaker A: Let's just say, like, a plastic surgeon's salary. [00:09:36] Speaker B: Oh, plastic surgery. [00:09:38] Speaker A: I don't know. Ballpark. Yeah, I'm doing really well. Better than anyone in my family ever has, you know, that's what I'm gonna say. [00:09:44] Speaker B: What, you'd be making broadcasting? [00:09:47] Speaker A: I mean, yes, it depends. Like, if I'm like fucking Oprah, then. No, but, like, it just depends. But this particular line of work, I just really enjoy it. I like being able to, you know, just be my own boss and creatively express myself and just kind of wake up every day and be like, what do I want to do? Like, the freedom is everything. Yeah, yeah. All of the above. Like, the world is my oyster. [00:10:13] Speaker B: When you do your own, like, your collabs and whatnot, how do you choose? What's the process for people to collaborate with specifically? Like, what do you look for? [00:10:23] Speaker A: I typically look for. I look for people who, first of all, that I know I already know and that I know. Like, for example, a lot of women I know from just my years in porn. And I'll reach out to them and we'll. Cause we have an understanding. We've known each other. Like, I know certain people are hard workers and they're gonna show up on time and do their job, et cetera, and be professional. So there's that. And. But I also will work with women who have no following whatsoever. But if I see potential, I'm going to snatch you and you're going to go work with me. Because, like, I wish. Like, it's like one of those things where it's like, I see myself in people where it's like, I can tell they're hungry and I can tell they're creative and they give a fuck about their product and what they're putting out there. And I give them the opportunity to come to my platform and, like, you know, get a little traffic to their page. And I really like that a lot. Yeah, so it's like, you don't necessarily have to have a big following, but you have to, like, have, like, that it factor. You know what I mean? [00:11:28] Speaker B: See the it factor. [00:11:29] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:11:30] Speaker B: So how has. Cause I know people have, like, tried to collab with you. Give us, like, a good example and a bad example. [00:11:38] Speaker A: Like, people in my DMs. I get that every fucking day. Like, I get fucking Joe Blow in Minnesota. He's like, collab Question mark. And I like, I don't even. I don't answer ever. That's like, not how to do it. Like, if I'm gonna collaborate, I have to know you. I have to know you have a. Like, you're a professional. You're already in the industry. You're already a talent. Like, I'm not picking up, like, John Q. Public from the fucking street and be like, hey, you wanna shoot for my. Of. Like, it does not work like that. [00:12:05] Speaker B: Right? [00:12:05] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I just think generally speaking, I'm the one. Like, I gotta reach out to you here and there. Like, people do reach out to me for sure, but. But usually I'm the one that's reaching out and being like, hey, do you want to, like, do you want to shoot with me? And then I honestly, like, I just ignore, like, the fuckery. I ignore it. My blinders are up. Like, I just don't even bother. I'm like, you're just wasting my damn time. [00:12:28] Speaker B: You have to fix it. [00:12:29] Speaker A: And I'm like, also, get the fuck out of here, dude. Like, no, you look at the profile. [00:12:33] Speaker B: You're like, this has nothing to do with. [00:12:35] Speaker A: I'm like, you just want to bang me. Like, we can all, like, I wish someone would deposit a billion dollars on my lap, but we don't always get what we want. [00:12:42] Speaker B: Right? [00:12:42] Speaker A: You know what I mean? Like, I can't. Also, in, like, in all seriousness, this is like your body, like, in this industry, it's so intimate and you're. It's your body and you're being intimate with other people. And so I have to be, of course, like, I'm very, like, discern. Yeah. Very selective. Yeah. Yeah. [00:13:02] Speaker B: So let's run it back to, like, you were telling me, like, how you run the room. Cause, like, in my free cam. [00:13:09] Speaker A: On cam. Yeah. [00:13:10] Speaker B: Cause camming, that is such a, like, unique world. [00:13:13] Speaker A: Yo, it's an art. [00:13:14] Speaker B: It's an art. [00:13:16] Speaker A: It's like an art anesthetic different than mainstream. [00:13:19] Speaker B: It's like that it's his own world. [00:13:21] Speaker A: Camming is crazy. [00:13:22] Speaker B: How did you run the room? How did you run it up in a cam room? [00:13:25] Speaker A: So it's kind of. I like to liken it to being. I almost felt a lot of the times like an old school. Like a school teacher or something. Cause, like, it's like a group of people. A group of. I mean, it's mostly all men, you know, It's a group of dudes. And then they would either, like, sometimes they'd like, start arguing in the chat. And I still do this when I go on of live. And this will still happen. And they'll start fighting in the chat and calling each other names. And I'm like, hey, stop. My house. Knock it off. You know what I mean? So I feel like I'm like a fucking disciplining them. I don't want to do that. But I'm like, what are you doing? But it's structured. I keep it really structured. So, for example, if I do a live show on of same as mfc, it would be like, I'd have a tip menu and you can tip me. You can tip me to ask me a question, tip me to spin my prize wheel. Like, there's all kinds of different things you can tip for. Then we have a goal that we're, let's say like X amount until I'm topless. And then once we reach that goal, then with all the tips, then I take my top off. And then if I want to keep it going, I'll do X amount until I'm naked. And then we keep going with that, you know? But different things I do. I have a prize wheel that's always great. You know, you tip to spin the wheel and it's really loud. And every time someone tips, I have one of those little hotel bells. So I'm like, ding, ding, ding. Like, I really like. I think a lot of it is too. People want to be seen. Like, people join these sites because they want to be seen and they want a place to go and they want a place to connect with other people. They might not necessarily get. Be able to have that in their real life. And I want to be able to give them, like, a cool, like, kind of like an escape from real life to just come hang out and like, just take a break, you know, from the real world. But that's how I structure the shows, really. It's always like the tip goals and then I get them to work together to get to the goal. And if we don't get to the. [00:15:28] Speaker B: Goal, then I sign off, they sign off, boom. [00:15:31] Speaker A: I'm usually on for a certain amount of time, and then sometimes I'll stay and sometimes I'll leave. So it just depends. [00:15:36] Speaker B: Okay, cool. So you are doing mainstream and tell us a little bit about that journey. Like, if you can wrap, like, tell us a little bit about that. [00:15:45] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, it was fun. It was a time. It was crazy. Like, I was 25, I moved out to LA, didn't know anyone. I lived in the model. I lived in my agency's model House. It's like a condo. OC Modeling. [00:16:00] Speaker B: Okay, cool. [00:16:00] Speaker A: Yeah. And I was with them pretty much the entire time of my career. I'm just. I'm a loyal person. It's like, once I find someone, I'm like, we're. That's it. Like, you know? So, yeah. So I lived in their model apartment with a couple other girls, and that was for, like, out of towners. So at that time, I wasn't living in LA yet. Eventually I moved out there full time. And, yeah, I just started off slow. I just started off doing girl girl. This is how a lot of people start. You start off doing girl girl. You get your feet wet, you go to set, you see how it is. And then, like, you realize, myself included, I realized, like, oh, this is like, not a big deal. Like, this is not boy girl is the same structure. Like, when I said it's like the same thing. You're just hooking up with a different person, you know? So eventually, like, I did enough girl girl where there was a little bit more of a demand for people, and, like, now they want to see boy girl. So I got my first three boy girl scenes contracted with mindgeek, which was like, browsers, Digital Playground Mofos, I want to say, was the other one. Yeah. Because I was like, who's gonna blow me up the quickest? I was like, mindgeek. So that's who I did it with. It was great. [00:17:05] Speaker B: It was great. [00:17:05] Speaker A: I got to pick my talent. Like, I worked with, like, Van Wilde, Johnny Sins, I think. [00:17:10] Speaker B: Is that normal? Can people pick talent for the first. [00:17:13] Speaker A: If you're get. Yeah, I think, like, if you're getting contracted like I was for the first few scenes, they were like, special, you know, And I wanted them to be, like, done right. So I picked my talent for that. After that was done, though. No, I mean, like, you get call sheets. You're working with this person on this date with this company, you can fully say no. Which I have done sometimes, but most of the time, you know, it's a job. So you're like, okay, you just go to where they're gonna send you when you do your job, right? Yeah. And I did that for like, six, 2014 to 2020, because it was like, Covid times. That's when I stopped going to Sacks. [00:17:49] Speaker B: And that's the only time you recently stopped because it was Covid. [00:17:52] Speaker A: It was Covid. I stopped because it was Covid and the industry shut down and, like, there was nothing happening. And I was like, at that point, though, I kind of realized. I was like, oh, like, of is still here. I'm doing really well. Let's just focus all on that. Yeah. And now that's all I do. [00:18:11] Speaker B: Oh, wow. [00:18:12] Speaker A: Yeah, that's legit. Yeah, that's cool. It was scary because I was so used to living a certain way, but I think everyone kind of feels that way. Cause, like, pre Covid and then that happened, and then we all had to adjust, you know, and we all had to, like, switch up our lifestyles a little bit, I think. But it was for the best. Like, I look back and I'm like, yeah, it was scary, but, like, man, I've evolved a lot in a good way since. [00:18:37] Speaker B: Right. [00:18:37] Speaker A: So it was for the better. [00:18:39] Speaker B: That's cool. [00:18:40] Speaker A: And it's like one of those things where it's like, I always say this. I was like, you know, porn is always gonna be there. I was like, if I. If I ever feel the need to go back and film scenes for, like, any company, like, I totally can. Yeah. So it's nice to have the option. [00:18:53] Speaker B: That's cool. [00:18:54] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:18:55] Speaker B: Well, thank you so much. This has been a great interview. [00:18:57] Speaker A: Appreciate it. [00:18:58] Speaker B: Can you tell them where you want them to find you? [00:19:01] Speaker A: Yeah, you can find me on onlyfans.com Alexlinx My Instagram is healexlinks, and so is my Twitter. [00:19:09] Speaker B: Awesome. Thank you so much. [00:19:10] Speaker A: I appreciate it. [00:19:11] Speaker B: It's been great. [00:19:12] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:19:13] Speaker B: And I'm Javi Mac. Check out. This is the kiss and tell podcast, hobbymakeshow. Com. [00:19:19] Speaker A: This is not a test, ladies. [00:19:21] Speaker B: I brought y' all here today so we can see who can twerk.
